Welcome to the Spokane Collegiate Social Dance web page!

 

We are a dance club based in Spokane, Washington , connected to classes for Gonzaga University and Eastern Washington University, and serving all collegiate students in the Spokane Area. 

 

By sponsoring dances and workshops we seek to promote, instruct, and provide a place for ballroom dancing for students and the community at large.  Events are open to everyone and our functions are alcohol free.

 

Latin Dancing with the SCSDC    -  

At the current time we are attending  "Spokane Dance Company" at 902 West Indiana on Friday nights for latin dancing. There is a beginning salsa lesson at 8:40 (cost is $12.50 and it includes the dance) and a practice dance at 9:30.  Practice fee is $10.00 per person.

Ballroom  Dancing with the SCSDC - On Saturday nights Spokane Dance Company holds a ballroom dance from 9:30 to midnight.  The cost is $10 per person, but college students can buy a 3 month pass that will get you into all dances for only $40.  ($120 value)

Formal Balls - We throw one every school term (except summer) at a location to be announced..

Swing Dancing with the SDSCD - Spokane has several places for swing dancing.  For those over 21, there is a blues jam on Sunday  nights at "Blues at the Bend" where Market and Green streets merge. (just north of the SCC campus.)  Call the bar for details.
